Hello and greetings from Surf City!

   Welcome to Corvette Sandy’s Garage, a place where I can share with you some fun memories of my past experiences and knowledge in the art, automotive, beach, music, radio, and surf lifestyles.

   For those of you who are new readers: Welcome! For those of you who have followed me previously, I say a huge Mahalo! I have lived my entire life in trend-setting Southern California, the last 30 years of them right here in Huntington Beach. While just living and exploring my interests, I have ingested enough content to fill several books! But let us begin right here. This is my third excursion with The Lance Monthly, the first being more than 20 years ago!! A big thank you goes out to Dick Stewart, the Editor and all-around Big Kahuna, for inviting me back.

   In this month’s segment, I give special homage to a kind, lovely woman who played a significant role in Southern California Radio, offer special thoughts on the induction of Link Wray into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and announce the luminous return of the un-coveted Sandbag Award.
