DID YOU KNOW?

1. Did you know that Jerry Naylor was the vocalist for the Crickets during the Band’s early ‘60s Reformation?

2. Did you know that during the Fireballs early formation, the band’s game plan was the recorded vocals by Chuck Tharp but not the guitar instrumentals by the band’s guitarist, George Tomsco?

3. Did you know the Fireballs name came about when the band covered a number of Jerry Lee Lewis hits at a performance at Raton High, and when the group played “Great Balls of Fire,” exceptionally well, they dubbed themselves the Fireballs?

4. Did you know that Chuck Tharp provided the voice that successful changed the Fireballs from a hit-making instrumental group to that of a standout ensemble responsible for Billboard’s 1963 number one rock-and-roll hit, “Sugar Shack?” Having hits with both instrumentals and vocals had never been accomplished by a rock-and-roll band.

5. Did you know that Ronnie Smith replaced Buddy Holly during the Winter Dance Party tour? ____________________________
